But I do have an engine

Thanks to Tom at Manik (http://www.manikllc.com/index.html), I found a Honda S2000 engine and transmission on Craigslist for a reasonable price.

Looks to have all the bits (except the ECU, which I won't be needing, as Westfield supplies a replacement one) and no obvious leaks, so hopefully it will be fine. I will just need to convince the local authorities that I bought it legally.

It's now sitting at Science of Speed  (http://www.scienceofspeed.com), where they are going over it to make sure everything is OK and it will be fine for track use.

First of all . . .

I need to finish the current project, which has only been on the go for 23 years! I must clear some garage space for the arrival of the Westfield (which actually won't be until next spring), but I really must get the Healey finished.

Apart from a few finishing touches, the interior is mostly complete:

I wanted to add a switch for the auxiliary fan. As I live in Arizona, I doubt I will ever need the windscreen wipers, so I used the wiper switch to control the fan, should I need to override the thermostat (it's a long story).
Have removed the front bumper for that sleek, "mean" look. Actually it's because I couldn't get it fully tightened and it was clanking in the wind once you got over 40 mph or so.

I know the exterior doesn't match the interior. That's another long story, and will be sorted when the Westie arrives. It's all part of a cunning plan.

I do need to find some round wheels though. The ones fitted were intended just for moving it around while I was rebuilding the car. At any decent speed you would swear they are about to shake the whole thing apart. Oh and one of the rears is missing a few spokes. That really can't be good.
